CHRISTIANITY IS NOT FOR LAZY PEOPLE - ICGC Pastor Cautions

Rev. Samuel Nyarko, the Head Pastor of the ICGC Faith and Miracle Temple, Teshie Camp 2 Assembly, has urged Christians to be hardworking reiterating that "Christianity is not for lazy people."

Speaking during one of his Teaching Services on Tuesday, the ICGC Pastor advised that: "Christianity is not for lazy people, you cannot follow God and be a lazy Christian. You must work at your Christian walk with God; you need to pray always, read your Bible and practice what you study in the Bible as well," adding that "You need a study note to write down what you learn. In fact, you need to invest in your walk with God by praying and studying the word for yourself always."

Rev. Samuel Nyarko

He advised Christians to desist from the habit of waiting on God and Pastors to build their future for them and  rather take responsibility for their lives and work earnestly at their future, adding that, "Salvation is free but success in life is not free; you must work it out." Citing an example from the Bible, Rev. Nyarko advised Christians to emulate how Jesus hid from his disciples and the crowd to study and pray at times.

Teaching on the theme, "How to Become a  Healthy Christian" the influential and inspiring  ICGC Pastor established the following points as to how to become a healthy Christian:
  •  Be addicted to prayer
  •  Be addicted to daily reading of the word
  •  Be addicted to the daily application of the word

He added: "When you study the Bible, you will know what God has for you and you won't be misled." He further said that: "People who don't apply what they study from the Bible would never be able to easily overcome the challenges of life.

"You must be filled and full of the word and also profess it over and over else you would crush without the word in you," he said, reiterating that, "If your Christian walk does not cause you something then you wouldn't get anything" and that "there is the urgency for Christians to take their walk with God very serious".

With the rise in terrific and alarming issues occurring in the world, Rev. Nyarko encouraged Christians to hold God dearly at heart.

Buttressing his points with quotations from Job 8:7, Isiah 54:17, Gen 32:10, Hebrews 11, acts 20:1-4, 1 Kings 2:1-4 and many others, Rev. Nyarko urged Christians not to be churchgoers who don't have Bibles and do not buy books to read  but invest more in themselves because "Building the inner man must matter more than building the outer man."

The ICGC Faith & Miracle Temple, Teshie Camp 2 Assembly, which is located in Teshie, Accra, holds Teaching Services and Prayer Meetings on Tuesday and  Fridays respectively at 6:30 p.m. and the main Church Service on Sundays at 7 a.m.
The Church can be followed on all social media platforms at icgcfmt.

She will drive you earlier into your grave". Teaching on why people don't grow, Rev. Nyarko established the points that indiscipline, loose life, wrong associations, wrong life partners, pride, arrogance, ignorance, unseriousness about life and its rewarding systems...

Yeah, I am referring to the coronavirus disease  (COVID-19) - a tiny yet dangerous virus that has brought great and mighty nations to their knees. Thousands of lives are recorded dead and people everywhere are panicking and wondering when all these would finally be over. When are things going to be normal again they ask. When are our children returning to school and when would the world's economy be stable again? Thousands of workers have lost their jobs globally. Social gatherings including religious organisations have been suspended. But as we are in the Easter week,  I ask of the impact of COVID-19 on its celebration.  Easter Easter celebrations varies from year to year. It is usually celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon on or after 21st March. This year, Easter Sunday fall...

Coronavirus: Government of Ghana to spend GHS 1 Billion on electricity reliefs

The government will spend a little over GHS 1 billion over the next three months on relief for electricity consumers amid the economic slowdown from the novel coronavirus pandemic.  About 87 percent of the Ghanaian population on 4.8 million metres who have access to the national grid are in line to benefit from these reliefs, according to the Energy Minister, Peter Amewu. The government is fully absorbing electricity bills for lifeline consumers; persons who consume 0 to 50 kilowatt-hours per month. The other categories of consumers will enjoy a 50 percent discount within the same period. Addressing a press conference on Thursday morning, Mr. Amewu gave a breakdown of the reliefs with the Electricity of Ghana (ECG) accounting for most of the beneficiaries. But he's not my husband's.I know you might be wondering how or you might be calling me names but wait till you hear my story. source: nation.com I met Isaac Buxton at a UNICEF program in Geneva, Switzerland. He was representing his institution and I was also representing mine. He was sitting next to me and he was really charming  and adorable. He was six feet tall, with his immaculate suit and a cute spectacle on.  Before I had come from Ghana to the Switzerland, I had in mind to never leave the same - I wanted to get hooked.
