The host of the GTV Breakfast Show, Juliana Amoako-Twum, has received an award from the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) under the Uniterra program.

The Uniterra program which started in Ghana from 2015 for an initial period of five years ending in 2020 brought together all the Partners and Beneficiaries of the initiative at a forum organised by WUSC Ghana at the Mensvic Grand hotel at East Legon, Accra from 3rd-4th March, 2020 to climax the initiative in Ghana.

Juliana received the award in recognition of her immense contributions towards the success of the Uniterra program in Ghana from 2015 to 2020.
Juliana is the host of GTV Breakfast show aired from Monday to Friday at 6 am to 9 am.
Juliana is, also, an International MC, hosting several events such as weddings, parties, corporate functions amongst others in and outside of the country.
Others rewarded
Institutions that received the award include the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI), Construction and Building Materials Workers' Union of Trades Union Congress of Ghana(CBMWU of TUC ), Artisans Association of Ghana (AAG), Farm Radio International (FRI), Council for Technical, Vocational and Educational Training (COTVET), Institution of Engineering and Technology Ghana (IET - GH) amongst others.
Other individuals rewarded are Doris Deku, a female Ghanaian tiler, and Gladys Perpetual, a teacher of the Tema Technical High School.

What is WUSC?
The World University Service of Canada (WUSC) founded in 1957 is an international NGO with headquarters in Ottawa,Canada which seeks to improve economic, education and empowerment opportunities for youth and women. WUSC works with a diverse network of volunteers, students, governments, institutions and businesses. WUSC together with its partners fosters youth-centered solutions to overcome inequality and exclusion.
Uniterra
Uniterra is a leading Canadian international volunteer and development program which is jointly implemented by WUSC and CECI. The program engages with economic sub-sector actors, be they private, non-profit or public entities, as well as associations, training service providers with partners in Africa, Asia and the Americas to develop competitive, inclusive economies, especially ones that favour women and all youth.

"
