INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY:TUC NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL DONATES ITEMS TO SENIOR CORRECTIONAL CENTER AT ACCRA

The National Youth Council of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), as part of it's activities to mark the International Youth Day Celebration, donated some items to juveniles at the Senior Correctional Center at Ridge , Accra.

The Secretary of the National Youth Council of TUC, Abena Afriyie, said there was the need for the juveniles to feel belonging to the society and that necessitated the donation.

Receiving the items on behalf of the facility, the Assistant Director of Prisons in charge of the facility, Millicent Owusu, expressed appreciation to the Youth Council for the benevolence.

She further called on other organisations, including NGOs, to emulate this gesture from the TUC.
