PRAY FOR KWAME DESPITE'S SON?

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord, so the Bible says and this is really true for most men though others believe the contrary due to the rise of marital issues in recent times including divorce.

The Bible also says, with prayer and supplication, let your request be made known to God. And whatever two shall bind on earth it shall be bound in Heaven and whatever you shall loose on earth shall also be loosed in Heaven. The Holy Bible also says whatever two shall agree on the earth shall be agreed in Heaven. Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you do not know is also well noted.  In fact, the Bible speaks so much about prayers.

These quotes draw my mind to what is circulating in Ghana over the past few days. I'm relating to the marriage of Kennedy Osei, the son of Kwame Despite, CEO of Despite Group of Companies and his wife Tracy.

The couple as we all are aware married lavishly on Valentine Day's eve with Kennedy even said to have proposed in an airplane whilst returning to Ghana from a friend's wedding in Calabar, Nigeria. To those who don't know, the couple had their traditional marriage ceremony at Trasacco and an extraordinary wedding at Shiashe in Accra. The reception at the Kempinski  Hotel is even outstanding not forgetting the classy cars including McLaren, Ferrari, Rolls Royce and Mercedes that paraded the marriage ceremony.

Their marriage ceremony got the whole nation busily talking about it and we all forgot about the NDC and the NPP for the first time in a long time. I think they did a good job, right? But after the wedding, there have been a series of other stories emanating from social media with people speaking about the couple's past relationships. Others say Kennedy shunned a lady whom he had done the 'knocking' to rather marry Tracy. Others also allege Tracy has shunned his National Service Personnel boyfriend who earns a salary of about GH¢ 600 for the Billionaires son.

But are all these so-called revelations necessary at this stage in their marriage? What effect would it have on their marriage and what is the way forward? If it's true should they divorce, maybe not, right? If it's not, should they call for celebrations at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel? I presume that wouldn't be necessary either.

In your opinion should Ghanaians rather pray for them and wish them well at least for the benevolence that Dr. Osei Kwame Despite is well noted for? His son do deserve a happy marriage and that's the desire of every good father for his son. Though some think Ghanaians are good at praying over everything including everything, should Ghanaians say prayers on the couple's behalf in relation to these issues?

What we bind on the earth would be bound in Heaven and what we loose on earth would be loosed in Heaven as well. When we call on God he will answer. Should we bare ye one another's burden and so fulfill the law of Christ just as the Holy Book advice. Does it serve them right for showcasing such an extravagance or some people are just jealous of them hence the accusations? What do you think would keep their marriage sailing on a safe voyage as Ghanaians are really going to expect the couple's first child in a couple of months' time?

Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy Osei

DON'T MARRY WOMEN WITH EGO - ICGC Pastor Advices.

The Head Pastor of the ICGC Faith & Miracle Temple, Teshie Camp 2 Assembly, Rev. Samuel Nyarko, has advised men not to marry women with ego. Continuing from a teaching series he began earlier this year on the theme, "How to Make 2020 a Successful Year", Rev. Nyarko, during one of his evening Teaching Services on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, reiterated that, women with ego are trouble causers and would endanger the lives of men who married them.  "If you want to have a peaceful marriage then don't marry a woman with ego. She will drive you earlier into your grave". He added that "People who are egoistic are not ready to change and will always give you problems."  He, therefore, advised men to choose their life partners wisely. Teaching on why people don't grow, Rev. Nyarko established the points that indiscipline, loose life, wrong associations, wrong life partners, pride, arrogance, ignorance, unseriousness about life and its rewarding systems...

Coronavirus and easter

Over the past weeks, the world has been hit by a catastrophic disease which was subsequently declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation  (WHO). Yeah, I am referring to the coronavirus disease  (COVID-19) - a tiny yet dangerous virus that has brought great and mighty nations to their knees. Thousands of lives are recorded dead and people everywhere are panicking and wondering when all these would finally be over. When are things going to be normal again they ask. When are our children returning to school and when would the world's economy be stable again? Thousands of workers have lost their jobs globally. Social gatherings including religious organisations have been suspended. But as we are in the Easter week,  I ask of the impact of COVID-19 on its celebration.  Easter Easter celebrations varies from year to year. It is usually celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon on or after 21st March. This year, Easter Sunday fall...

Coronavirus: Government of Ghana to spend GHS 1 Billion on electricity reliefs

The government will spend a little over GHS 1 billion over the next three months on relief for electricity consumers amid the economic slowdown from the novel coronavirus pandemic.  About 87 percent of the Ghanaian population on 4.8 million metres who have access to the national grid are in line to benefit from these reliefs, according to the Energy Minister, Peter Amewu. The government is fully absorbing electricity bills for lifeline consumers; persons who consume 0 to 50 kilowatt-hours per month. The other categories of consumers will enjoy a 50 percent discount within the same period. Addressing a press conference on Thursday morning, Mr. Amewu gave a breakdown of the reliefs with the Electricity of Ghana (ECG) accounting for most of the beneficiaries. ECG currently oversees one million metres for its lifeline customers, which amounts to 27.4 percent of its customers.  “This means that at the current tariff level, Government is absolving almost an amount of G...

The Secret I Kept In My Marriage

My husband and I have been married for over two decades. We have a son and he's our only son. But he's not my husband's.I know you might be wondering how or you might be calling me names but wait till you hear my story. source: nation.com I met Isaac Buxton at a UNICEF program in Geneva, Switzerland. He was representing his institution and I was also representing mine. He was sitting next to me and he was really charming  and adorable. He was six feet tall, with his immaculate suit and a cute spectacle on.  Before I had come from Ghana to the Switzerland, I had in mind to never leave the same - I wanted to get hooked. I was fed up with the single life. "How can a beautiful, fair and a gorgeous looking lady like me never get a boyfriend left alone a husband. This is surely gonna be my time," I kept saying to myself. I just couldn't wait to see myself hooked up with a foreign diplomat. I was imagining how my children would look ...
