PUT GOD FIRST - Music artist tells Ghanaians

Kofi Yzee, popularly known as Ghana's Kendrick Lamar, has advised everyone to put God first in their everyday life activities.

The inspirational music artist in his latest track, faces of life, advised that "life is full of puzzles, struggles and hustles, so put God first and put God last." He adds that we should be wise since "the devil is trying to use us for his benefits and we need Jesus Christ to be conquerors."

He, also, pleaded with the rich to extend a helping hand to the poor and the needy and to also desist from the habit of giving one Ghana cedi as an offertory to the Lord.

He thanks God for being so good to him and pleads to God to help him make it to Heaven since he doesn't want to be in hell.

Coronavirus: Government of Ghana to spend GHS 1 Billion on electricity reliefs

The government will spend a little over GHS 1 billion over the next three months on relief for electricity consumers amid the economic slowdown from the novel coronavirus pandemic. About 87 percent of the Ghanaian population on 4.8 million metres who have access to the national grid are in line to benefit from these reliefs, according to the Energy Minister, Peter Amewu. The government is fully absorbing electricity bills for lifeline consumers; persons who consume 0 to 50 kilowatt-hours per month. The other categories of consumers will enjoy a 50 percent discount within the same period. Addressing a press conference on Thursday morning, Mr. Amewu gave a breakdown of the reliefs with the Electricity of Ghana (ECG) accounting for most of the beneficiaries.
