All ICGC Branches in Ghana would be fellowshiping online due to the outbreak of Corona virus
A letter from the ICGC headquarters, signed by the General Overseer, Dr. Mensa Otabil, and circulated to all ICGC members on Monday, 16th March, 2020 reads,: "Beginning from today, we will conduct our worship as a congregation through our online platforms. We will use the ICGC app as our primary source of communication and place of worship. We, therefore, urge every member to download the My ICGC app..." The app according to the letter is available on Google playstore and Apple appstore .
In addition, pastors are encouraged to "activate their live streaming platforms to minister to their local congregation" and to also " allow the Holy Spirit to make them a voice of faith and not of fear."
" We will continue to use our various social media platforms to reach out to our members and the larger public who need encouragement and support as we face this global challenge together," the letter states.
Dr. Otabil further advised members "to show more love to another" as well as to "encourage one another, pray for another ,connect with one another, help one another, and share one another."
He adds that this is not the first time the church is facing such a dilemma to fellowship publicly but the first church also faced same. As such the new Christian Church should also emulate them and not permit anything to discourage them from their faith.
